History According to WHO The life expectancy at birth in Uganda rose from 45.7 years to 62.2 years for males and 50.5 years to 64.2 years for females over the period 1991 to 2014. Uganda also attained one out of the global MDG targets on child health; between 1990 and 2015, under-five mortality rate dropped from 187 to 55 deaths per 1,000 live births.
